American Flamingo
Whatโs the opposite of a flamingo?
A flamin-stop.
Interesting Fact: At the beginning of the nesting season, they perform mass courtship displays, where hundreds move together in a coordinated walk. ( http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/940/overview/American_Flamingo.aspx )
What a marvelous shot of the two shallow water strutters! The texture of the feathers is striking. And the info about the courtship walk, well, it kind of reminds me of line dancing….
