Interesting Fact: Countries such as England, United states, France, and Canada traditionally wear the engagement ring on the left hand. Where as Germany, Russia and India wear the ring on the right hand. ( http://www.jewellerymonthly.com/facts_engagement_rings/ )

    Congratulations! I am not sure about Germany, but in Russia it is because of the traditions of Russian Orthodoxy. A wedding band is worn on the left hand only if you are a widow(er).

      Thank you very much glad that you enjoy my work. And I always put my setting right under the photos. I do shoot with Nikon d7000, with few different lenses. 🙂

    It’s true that Russians wear their rings on the right hand. I used to do that, too. Now, I’m married to an American, so I
    wear my ring on my left hand 🙂

    There are other countries as well (in fact many) for the right hand & never really knew why 🙂

    Interesting. I haven`t worn my wedding ring for years because I worked on machines and it was dangerous, in the end my knuckles got so big that i had a job getting it off my finger, on the left hand. i can`t use the right hand due to an accident. 🙂

    Isn’t a proper engagement photo wonderful and this is no exception.

    Congratulation!

    I wear rings on both hands for different reasons. On the left hand- designated for my husband, whom I most often, as Americans, I find on my left (while driving, sleeping, sofa resting); and on the right hand- given for my family, where my mother, mother in law, and grandmothers’ rings bedazzle me in remembrance of them and the lessons they taught me.

    Give your new bride many rings. While the wedding band will always remain, allow the engagement ring to here and there throughout your years, be replaced; an upgrade, if you will, but more so, the continued promise of love through faithful companionship.

    I always wonder why you can’t just wear the ring on whchever ring finger. Left or Right, does it really matter? Don’t mind me, i like to question the norm. Thanks alot for visiting my blog, its quite encouraging

    Congrats! I remember when I first came to Germany, I was so confused. I thought not one was married since I didn’t see the wedding ring on their left hand 🙂
