Day 36 / 365
I am semi-pro so don’t try this at home !!!!!! 🙂
Interesting Fact: Over 12.5 million people in the world skateboard. Skateboards started as “sidewalk surfboards” in the 1950’s but the signature skateboard trick, the “ollie” that started it all, wasn’t done until the 1970’s. Skateboards got so popular that the military tested them in the 1990’s to see if they were useful during combat operations. ( http://www.handipoints.com/fun-facts/xtreme-sports )
Great photo!
Thank you very much. 🙂
Cool picture. I rode one of the first kind of skateboards in the early 50’s, a piece of board with roller skates: )
Thank you very much and That’s awesome that must of been super cool experience back then. 🙂
We were young kids. We’d start higher and higher up the sidewalk, just hoping to stay on as we rode down the slight hill, jumping off before we reached the alley 🙂 I made the mistake of attempting to ride down the pathway from our front door, forgetting about the stairs to come. I ended up landing on my jaw …ouch!!! I was fearless then…
wow that is an amazing story thank you for sheering that with me. When I was young I was fearless as well and did plenty of crazy thing. And now safety first. 🙂
