Let There Be Water!

Day 48 / 365

I wonder if the water froze in the water tower since it is so cold outside.

Interesting Fact: Most water towers hold 50 times more water than an average backyard pool. ( http://www.watertowers.com/facts.html )

  1. Love the positioning of the water tower and how it appears almost in silhouette against the orange sky.

I never thought about whether the water would freeze in a tower, but I’m sure newer ones are built so they are insulated against things like that happening. My county is going to store water in part of a quarry that is no longer being used. I thought that was very cool. No towers involved. There are plenty of them around already.

    • Thank you very much for enjoying my work. And is some awesome info that you shared about your country Thank you very much. Happy Blogging. πŸ™‚

  2. Great silhouette. I like the imagery of this man-made structure against the sky. I think the pumping unit/control housing can circulate the water to keep it from freezing on smaller ones.
