Thank You For Bearing With Me

Black Bear

F/6.0, 1/40, ISO 500.

American Black Bear

How do you catch a fish without a fishing pole?

With your BEAR hands.

Interesting Fact: Black bears are not true hibernators. During their winter dormant period, though, they do not eat, drink, urinate, or defecate, but may wake up if disturbed. ( http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/black-bear/ )

Thank you very much, I came across him driving home from work. It was my first bear sitting, when he saw me he started to walk away. Did not have enough time to take more photos I was kind of sad about that. Happy Blogging! šŸ™‚

Wow! What an encounter and what a shot. I’ve yet to see a bear in the wild (I have only lived in a country with bears for 2.5 years so that’s OK) but we recently had one wandering in the street adjacent to ours. He moved on before I saw him though.

Yea I was very excited about that shot I was driving to work and saw him by the time I took the camera out I only had few seconds before he went into the woods. And I am sure you will come across one soon. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing with us. Happy Blogging! šŸ™‚

Ooops! So if Im digging about in the undergrowth, one could pop up? Angry at being woken? Eeeuuww. Some of our African snakes are like that – they don’t really disappear for the winter, lie out on warm pathways!

Yeah I am sure they are not too happy about being woken up. šŸ™‚ Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Happy Blogging! šŸ™‚
