Red-tailed Hawk
Day 243 / 365
How do witches keep their hair in place while flying?
With scare spray.
Interesting Fact: Red-tailed Hawks have a very keen eyesight that is 8 times as powerful as a human’s, allowing them to see prey as small as a mouse from 100 feet (~30 meters) away. ( http://beautyofbirds.com/redtailedhawks.html )
I want to tell how much I enjoy reading your blog. You sure have a way to dig up incredible stuff.
Thank you very much, your comment just made my day. This means a lot to me, thank you again. 🙂
We have a couple of these in our neighborhood, when the crows allow it. The females are huge, the males are smaller.
You should’ve seen what happened when an inexperienced male hawk tried to snatch a sparrow from their fortress within an evergreen bush. The tiny sparrows, feisty little beggars, ganged up on the hawk and drove him off. Then they went back to beating the daylights out of each other.
That must have been interesting experience to watch. I wish I could have seen that. Thank you for stopping by and sharing. Love hearing from you, always have some investing stories. 🙂
