Eastern Towhee
Why was the math textbook so sad?
He had a lot of problems!
Interesting Fact: The Eastern Towhee and the very similar Spotted Towhee of western North America used to be considered the same species, the Rufous-sided Towhee. The two forms still occur together in the Great Plains, where they sometimes interbreed. This is a common evolutionary pattern in North American birds ā a holdover from when the great ice sheets split the continent down the middle, isolating birds into eastern and western populations that eventually became new species. Once again, your blog has taught me something new! Birds that interbreed! Amazing!!
I am really glad to see that my post did that for you. I appreciate you stopping and checking out my work. Happy Blogging! š
You are a hoot with your silly jokes but I loved the info about the Towhee. I haven’t seen one yet but even our local birds are hiding in 100 degrees TX heat… Pray for me as I go to an outlet mall today (that means it is OUTSIDE). If I never blog again, the heat got me! š
I am glad you enjoy my silly jokes, and I really hope you survived your trip to the mall. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing. Happy Blogging! š
I did survive – jeez, it was hot as Hades!
Next time just go to regular mall. š hahaha. š
You don’t understand women – I NEEDED bargains… š
Then you have to make that sacrifice then. Haha. š
