Groundhog (Woodchuck)
Day 302 / 365
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Interesting Fact: Groundhogs hibernate meaning they spend their winters sleeping. They hibernate from October to late March. Groundhogs prepare for hibernation by putting on weight. Then they live off the fat until they come out of hibernation. Yes, they can destroy houses, buildings too! Don’t let one sleep under a shed!
Oh I know. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing this additional information with us. 🙂
Sometimes I wish I was a groundhog… great photo and educational entertainment 😀

Haha, only in my mind. 😀 You’re welcome!! Your photos are great.
Thank you again I appreciate it. 🙂
I must be preparing for hibernation. From now on I think that’s how I’ll explain my weight issues. Wouldn’t be bad to be a woodchuck. 🙂
Haha Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing with us. 🙂
Great photo of the little bugger. Anyway, how much??
Enjoy your weekend.

Lovely photo. We love chubby groundhogs. We spot them quite often when we are out for a walk.
Thank you very much, they are fun to watch but they are not that much fun if they are digging holes under your house. 🙂
True. Thankfully we don’t see them in our garden.
🙂
Hahaha, thank you for the lough and the education!
We don’t have this animal here in Europe and I never new what groundhog was – now I looked it up. We do have a Hungarian name for it: mormota – and the only thing we know about it is a saying: “Sleeping like a mormota.”
Thank you very much for stopping by. I am very pleased that I can share the photo and the information about groundhogs with you. 🙂
Thanks for the great photo and the memory!
Thank you very much. 🙂
Humor and information. Great combination.
Thank you very much, it makes me very happy to see that you enjoyed my work. 🙂
We have a groundhog in the yard and my wife says he prepared for winter by eating the remainder of her garden. Not only do we feed it but we think we are housing it under our porch. Great and informative post. Cheers!
