Ruddy Duck
Day 312 / 365
What did the duck say when he dropped the dishes?
I hope I didn’t quack any!”
Interesting Fact: Though Ruddy Ducks are native to the Americas, one population became established in England after captive ducks escaped in 1952. This population grew to about 3,500 individuals by 1992, and now appears to be expanding into the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Spain. Why does the word ruddy sound like a swear word, LOL. Like words like bolloks or something. I swear I have British potty mouth and need to stop reading so many books set in this part of the world but they are so AMAZING and magical, LOL. Yet I’m from across the pond, BWAHAHA! There I go again! I’m such a nerd!
Lol. Maybe a little bit it does sounds like a swear word. Thank you very much for stopping by and entertaining us with your thoughts, that was great. 🙂
LOL! Sorry I’m a bit random and silly at times! But I enjoy your work and will continue to stop by and gawk. 🙂
Thank you I am happy that you do. And I enjoyed your comment very much so, being silly is the way to be. 🙂
;-p
But what does the fox say?
Hahaha I think it says ”
Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!”
OR
“Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!
Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!
Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!”
OR
“Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!
Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!
Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!”
Thank you very much for stopping by and cheering up my day with your comment. 🙂
Haha no problem at all. Couldn’t help it really.
🙂
Reblogged this on Ancien Hippie.
There has been a concerted cull of these birds in Britain, causing a lot of protest from nature lovers. They were inter-breeding with a Spanish duck and it was feared the Spanish birds would be wiped out. So, instead, they decimated the ruddy ducks. If anyone sees one of the remaining ducks, it is kept a close secret because otherwise the duck would be killed. Takes some understanding, doesn’t it? Anyway, delighted to see your lovely picture.
Wow that is an amazing story thank you very much for stopping by and sharing it with us. 🙂
