Interesting Fact: Most snails have thousands of microscopic tooth-like structures located on a ribbon-like tongue called a radula. The radula works like a file, ripping food into small pieces. Great image. My sister used to have giant African land snails as pets. They would regularly escape from the tank in our shared bedroom and slime all over my pillow.

First time I have heard snail as pet. In my childhood I used to bring snail to home from my garden. but my parents never entertained that act and eventually they were always took back to garden.
My sister did a fair bit of that too. That’s probably why my parents got her the giant snails. They arrived in a parcel marked “Fragile: Mollusks”.

Yes. Not from very far but still weird, right? The postman didn’t believe us so we opened the parcel in front of him.
