Greater Yellowlegs

Day 127 / 365

Where do birds meet for coffee ?ย
In a nest-cafe !

Interesting Fact: Although the Greater Yellowlegs is common and widespread, its low densities and tendency to breed in inhospitable, mosquito-ridden muskegs make it one of the least-studied shorebirds on the continent. ( http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/252/_/Greater_Yellowlegs.aspx )

Nice joke and fact. That’s funny that no one wants to study it because of where it lives… I know I wouldn’t want to haha!

Thank you, the sun was just going down, and the trees cast a nice shadow over that part of the lake. I was happy of the light effect. ๐Ÿ™‚

Outstanding! That joke was soo dumb that it made me laugh. I really hope that I don’t repeat it, but I probably will.

Excellent use of lighting, and I really like how you got silvery tones in the water.

Any particular camera settings or post processing techniques to bring out the silver hue like that?

Thank you very much I am really happy that you enjoyed my corny little joke. And the photo setting it was just a perfect time of the day the sun was coming down the trees were giving a light shadow. So I bumped up the ISO 1600 and give it a go. Only had the uv filter on. That was about it, hope that was a little helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚

It is a fantastic shot first and the fun part of your caption is always so amusing. Makes me laugh always. Have a great weekend.

Thank you very much, I’m always happy to hear positive things. And I do love to have fun with the captions, sometimes I go a little risky but I think it pays off. ๐Ÿ™‚
