Three birds were walking down the street. Two walked into a bar, the other one ducked!
Interesting Fact: The red of a male House Finch comes from pigments contained in its food during molt (birds can’t make bright red or yellow colors directly). So the more pigment in the food, the redder the male. This is why people sometimes see orange or yellowish male House Finches. Females prefer to mate with the reddest male they can find, perhaps raising the chances they get a capable mate who can do his part in feeding the nestlings. Great bird. You like to play with words, so I tell you what happened to me with english words. I was at a flea market and saw a beautiful red velvet box with golden letters and marks. The box was about the size of my palm. I opened it and there was a text that the box is for an english mint. So because my english is not very good, I was there wondering who makes such a lovely box for a candy. I went home and I was so curious that I looked from a dictionary the world mint. Now I know that mint is not only a candy. Oh, I felt so stupid.
Oh stop, that it was not that bad, it happens all the time. When I try to speak another language I make mistakes all the time. Thank you very much for sharing your story with us. 🙂
