American Kestrel
Day 260 / 365
Teacher: “What is the difference between a bird and fly?”
Student: “Well…a bird can fly…..but a fly can’t bird.”
Interesting Fact: Unlike humans, birds can see ultraviolet light. This enables kestrels to make out the trails of urine that voles, a common prey mammal, leave as they run along the ground. Like neon diner signs, these bright paths may highlight the way to a meal—as has been observed in the Eurasian Kestrel, a close relative. I enjoy your mini-lessons with each photo. Nice touch.
Thank you very much, I am very happy to see that you enjoyed my work. 🙂
Nice photography on that photo

Well done…
Thank you very much. 🙂
Excellent shots! That’s one of the beauties of photography. We get to see images of things that are too fast for our eyes to catch.
Thank you very much, and you are right, we do see a lot of things that it’s too fast to catch with human eye. 🙂
