Hispaniolan slider

Why did the turtle cross the road?

To get to the shell station!

Interesting Fact:  The Hispaniolan slider is a freshwater turtle. They can live on land and water, but prefer to be near freshwater.[3] These sliders are not on the endangered list, but are considered vulnerable. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispaniolan_slider )

  1. Love these! “Sliders” are pretty much the same, all over the New World, just with a lot of color variations. They all make good pets.

  2. Great joke. I looked for turtles in the park where I walked today as it was hot, hot, hot after a chilly and rainy Spring here in Southeast Michigan. Saw a couple of big ones sunning themselves on a log … their log from last year was totally submerged from all the rain, so they took the duck’s log and the ducks were just standing on shore watching them. Oh well.

    • Hehehe they did a hostile takeover. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your story with us. Happy Blogging! πŸ™‚
