The Sandhill cranes in FL stay all year, and a pair were nesting at the pond behind my house for the last few years. It is a treat to see them ‘dance’.

The composition of the photo is fabulous. Love the neutral surroundings that enhance the birds. Just yesterday I saw a very large flight overhead. They fly so high, you have to really look hard to spot them after you hear the classic calls they emit during flight. (We are currently in an RV park in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.)
