    Satan. You call a wasp Satan. My husband is a bee-whisperer. He pets them like furry puppies and never gets stung. Cool photo.

    I think they also like the purple echinacea. I grow them for the monarch butterflies enjoying them now as they head South.

    I once, as a very small boy playing hide and seek, blundered into a bumblebee nest and got stung all over. I have forgiven the bees for that.

    When we first moved to Kangaroo Island six years ago, we found a property that a previous owner called ‘Wannabe’. We were eager to buy it for my wife’s honey business, but alas funds didn’t permit it. This post made me remember that as funny story. I still want to buy that property as a gift to my wife.
