Mute Swans
How do you organize an outer space party?
You planet.
Interesting Fact: The Mute Swan is reported to mate for life. However, changing of mates does occur infrequently, and swans will remate if their partner dies. If a male loses his mate and pairs with a young female, she joins him on his territory. If he mates with an older female, they go to hers. If a female loses her mate, she remates quickly and usually chooses a younger male. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Mute_Swan/lifehistory )

Did you know that all the swans in England are owned by the queen? I wonder how they know they are English swans. Do they need visa’s to fly to another country? What if a swan flies in from another country does it become the queen’s?
Interesting capture with that green, murky water. I see the smudge on the right swan. 🙂
Yeah, the whole lake was cover in algae, and only the two swans in the middle of it. It was quite a sight. Thank you very much for stopping by and Happy Blogging! 🙂
We have that icky and awful algae bloom here in Michigan too. The ducks paddle right through it. Great picture and the caption is spot on!
I personally don’t like it as well, but it does make the photos look nice. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing with us. Happy Blogging! 🙂
He’s lying Sam. He ate those green eggs and ham, and he liked it.
Hehehe. Thank you very much for stopping the chuckle. Happy Blogging! 🙂
I love the play of light that adds delicacy to the elegant look of the birds – though I also know first hand they can be nasty.
