Chipmunk
Why was the chipmunk late for work?
Traffic was NUTS.
Interesting Fact: Their shrill, repeated, birdlike chirp is usually made upon sensing a threat but is also thought to be used as a mating call by females. Chipmunks are solitary creatures and normally ignore one another except during the spring, when mating takes place. After a 30-day gestation, a litter of two to eight is born. The young stay with their parents for two months before they begin to gather their own provisions for the winter ahead. ( https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/group/chipmunks/ )
Admittedly, these creatures are cute as it gets and always wondered if I should feel more shame for having them on my my most hated visitor to my property list – second only to the mole (another rather cute creature if you can get past those abnormally large claws and creepy nose ha). Made me cringe when I read they can produce up to 8 more. Thanks for the chuckle and the cool shot.
I definitely agree they are cute but they dig up my yard as well. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us. Happy Blogging! ๐

Living surrounded by woods, I have many of these little creatures. Yes, it’s spring and they are not ignoring each other. I constantly see three of them chasing each other back and forth over my lawn. Then they disappear into the foliage. They think I don’t know what’s going on. They don’t respect me at all.
Hehehe. They do exactly the same thing on my property. Every once in a while when I am taking a walk around the house they run and hide in the drain. But they canโt run up it so all I hear is there little claws scratching when I get close by. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your story with us. Happy Blogging! ๐
