Don’t Stick Your Nose Where It Doesn’t Belong

F/9.0, 1/320, ISO 320.

Northern Pintail Duck

Father and son are talking over dinner in a nice restaurant.  A boy asks his father, “Dad, are bugs good to eat?”

“That’s disgusting. Don’t talk about things like that over dinner,” the dad replies.

After dinner the father asks, “Now, son, what did you want to ask me?”

“Oh, nothing,” the boy says. “There was a bug in your soup, but now it’s gone.”

Interesting Fact: Northern Pintails migrate at night at speeds around 48 miles per hour. The longest nonstop flight recorded for a Northern Pintail was 1,800 miles. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northern_Pintail/

  1. Ha ha – I was taking pictures of a mute swan and its mate today. I did not do anything but take pictures and the swan kept snorting … I thought it was because it had its head in the water. When I got home later in the day, I Googled “swan and snorting” … apparently it was angry at me – I know because it came out of the water and chased me with its big feet. Luckily I had peanuts in my pocket and he liked eating them and forgot about me.

    • Hehehe. The good thing is you got away. πŸ™‚ They are quite vicious sometimes. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your amazing story with us. Happy Blogging! πŸ™‚

  3. I’ve seen car races, boat races, turtle races and baby crawling races. Now I am wondering if somewhere in this big old world, they have duck ‘speed’ races? 48 mph speeds, humm. . .

    • That would be pretty cool if they did. I seen a rubber ducky race. Hehehe. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us. Happy Blogging! πŸ™‚
