Ring-necked Ducks

Why shouldn’t you write with a broken pencil?

Because it’s pointless!

Interesting Fact: During fall migration, Ring-necked Ducks can form immense flocks. Several hundred thousand congregate each fall on certain lakes in Minnesota to feed on wild rice. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ring-necked_Duck/lifehistory )

  1. I will be reblogging this. For one, it’s good advice (hee!), and two, and more seriously, we have a neighbor boy – a young Mennonite boy – with Downs Syndrome; he’s a great kid, and my boyfriend (who is on your mail list now) has been able to share your, forgive me, but ‘good clean’ jokes with the boy. He asks daily for the latest. Great photo as always, and fun jokes. Thank you!

  2. Reblogged this on Scattered Notebooks and commented:
    Okay, I love this guy’s blog. His photos are beautiful and there’s interesting information and often a tasteful joke. This time, he just gives good advice 😀

    Thanks for reading!

  3. (oh, and I can’t get Madeline Khan “Rewease the Secwet Weapon!” out of my head with the title;
    obscure reference from a cartoon movie, I know, but still…Fun!)
