Northern Cardinal

What did little Tom’s mother do when she caught him zapping the other children with static electricity?

She grounded him.

Interesting Fact: The oldest recorded Northern Cardinal was a female, and was 15 years, 9 months old when she was found in Pennsylvania. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northern_Cardinal/lifehistory )

Your photo is awesome “Throughopenlens”! Was it a really dim winter day to select an ISO of 450? I respectfully ask this question. Thank you, denise

Thank you very much, for stopping by and checking out my work. To answer your question it was really dark cloudy day that’s why I shot in 450. I appreciate your question and hope to hear from you soon. Happy Blogging! 🙂

Awesome thank you! Santa brought me a Nikon 5300 for Christmas and I have been reading and gathering information on all its capabilities. I would have never thought to step it up to 450, thinking if anything, just as far as 400 like purchasing a roll of film:) Retraining my mind to step in and expand out! Yes, thank you:) Now I am actually looking at the numbers when posted! Blessings! Denise

Someone once told me it’s better to raise ISO then not get the shot. I shoot on cloudy days and dusk quite often. It’s hard to use a low ISO so it doesn’t come out blurry, special since the animals doesn’t sit still. So in order to get the shot I bump it up. There was few times I even bumped ISO up to 1600. It was a little grainy but I was able to share it with the world. Special moments come into our life only ever once in awhile, we can’t hesitate, or we will miss the shot. Wish you all the best with your new camera, enjoy, experiment, and most of all have fun. Happy Blogging! 🙂

Only if that was the case, he probably would not allow me to take that photo. Hehe. Thank you very much for stopping by and checking out my work. Happy Blogging! 🙂

I like your site and your comment that “Special moments come into our life only ever once in awhile.” I’ve always been amazed that the almost embarrassing simple, original fixed focus Kodak Brownie camera used 120 film and captured and preserved forever, some of our history’s special moments with high quality photographs.

That is amazing, life moves quickly and you can’t be everywhere, but you can see them moments frozen in through other people eyes. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us. Happy Blogging! 🙂
