Wild Turkey

What did the lawyer name his daughter?

Sue.

Interesting Fact: The English name of the bird may be a holdover from early shipping routes that passed through the country of Turkey on their way to delivering the birds to European markets. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Wild_Turkey/lifehistory )

  2. Interesting about the possible origin of the name turkey – and a lawyer naming his daughter Sue
seems as though it would inevitable.
Each of the nations has their own word for Turkeys, one would be ma’xehe’ne.

  3. We love the wild turkeys that roam our property, especially in the spring. Their mating rituals are spectacular!!! I may have to post some photos!
