Great Egret

What do you call a man with a rubber toe?

Roberto.

Interesting Fact: Though it mainly hunts while wading, the Great Egret occasionally swims to capture prey or hovers (somewhat laboriously) over the water and dips for fish. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Great_Egret

Exquisite photo !! I love the swirling water in the background with it’s different hues of blue and white; how did you ever catch the water droplets in the air shook off by the fish in mid flail? Wondrous feat to catch every detail of the egret’s wet feathers, his intense eyes, and magnificent beak! You’ve done it again !!

Please know I read your post every day … we’ve had grave illnesses in our family which has put me without enough time to do what I’d like to do … comment on your amazing blog. Keep shooting … I’m watching !! Jan
