Tree Swallows
What do you call a guy who never farts in public?
A private tutor.
Interesting Fact: Tree Swallows have helped researchers make major advances in several branches of ecology, and they are among the best-studied bird species in North America. Still, we know little about their lives during migration and winter. ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Tree_Swallow/lifehistory )
We have some that live in trees by the creek where I walk. I love their indigo iridescent colors – they light up when the sun hits them. And they swoop and dive so quickly, they are a blur … all you see is that scissor-shaped tail.
It is fun to watch them swoop in by the water. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your story with us. Happy Blogging! 🙂
Their cousins, the barn swallows, try to build a nest above my front door in the spring most years. I have to go shoo them away with a broom every day until they get the message. I don’t hate the birds, I just don’t want a constant supply of bird poop and mud on my door step every day.
They’re brave little birds. they fly to the safety of the roof and stare at me when I come outside to shoo them away, but I wouldn’t characterize them as afraid of me.
I would be doing the same thing if I was in your shoes. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your interesting story with us. Good luck with the swallows hope they get the hint and Happy Blogging! 🙂
Hi, thanks for liking one of my posts. You have some cracking bird photography on here. Particularly like this one and your Anna’s Hummingbird. Can I ask about your kit? Always intrigued by what other photographers use camera and lens wise.
Thank you very much, I am really glad to see that you enjoyed my work and that you took interest in my equipment. I use Nikon D7000 And Nikon D810. Lens it depends what I am shooting I use a Tamron 150-600mm, Nikon 28-300mm for wildlife shots and for others things i use all different kinds of lenses I do have quite a bit of equipment. Hope that answers your questions. Thank you again and Happy Blogging! 🙂
