Fly Above The Negativity!

Great Blue Heron

Why was Frosty told to leave the grocery store?

Because he was caught picking his nose in the produce isle.

Interesting Fact: Despite their impressive size, Great Blue Herons weigh only 5 to 6 pounds thanks in part to their hollow bones—a feature all birds share.  ( https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Great_Blue_Heron/overview )

Marvelous photo! I love the composition with Heron in flight past the vegetation. Was this shot captured in the morning or late afternoon? (shadow on the wing gave a hint as to sun’s position)

Good eye it was taken in the evening as the sun was setting. Thank you very much for your feedback and Happy Blogging! 🙂

I see GBHs land on the tiniest branches on the top of cottonwood trees and the branches hardly bend under the weight of the GBHs.
